Hot asphalt in summer, road salt in winter, gravel all year round.

Paw pads take a beating and cannot protect themselves. This balm spreads in a thin layer over the paw pad, nose, or a dry skin fold, leaving a greasy film that lasts for the duration of a walk. Take a pea-sized amount with your fingertip, massage it in, and you're done—the metal tin screws shut and slips right into a pocket.

  • 50 g metal tin — screw-top lid, so it won't open at the bottom of a bag.
  • Thick texture — several buyers note that a very small amount is enough: the tin lasts a long time.
  • Paw pads, nose, skin folds — the three areas that dry out the fastest.
  • Dogs and cats — applies with your finger, no equipment needed.
  • Ingredients listed by the manufacturer — chrysanthemum extract, grapefruit extract, and mineral oil.

Things to know before ordering: the tin carries the manufacturer's brand and the label is in English. This is a comfort product, not a medicine: for a cut or cracked paw pad that is bleeding or being licked incessantly by the animal, you should see a veterinarian, not use a balm.

In detail

Three things to know before using it

A balm is all about the right amount. Here's how to use this one.

A pea-sized amount is enough
01

A pea-sized amount is enough

The balm is thick: take a small amount on your fingertip, warm it between your fingers, then massage it in. Several buyers say they use very little and the tin lasts a long time — that's the right approach; a thick layer would stay greasy and end up on the floor tiles.

Paw pads and nose
02

Paw pads and nose

The two areas where the skin is bare and dries out fastest: under the paw and on the nose. The same balm goes on both, as well as on a hardened elbow. On a cat that licks it off straight away, apply it just before a meal or a nap.

A metal tin, not a tube
03

A metal tin, not a tube

The lid screws on: the tin doesn't open by itself at the bottom of a walking bag, and you can see what's left at a glance. 50 g; the label is the manufacturer's, in English.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before ordering.

Where do your products come from?

Douce Patte is a French brand. Our products are sourced from selected manufacturers in Asia and in Europe, chosen for the quality of their materials and the care they put into production. That's what allows us to offer sturdy products at an accessible price, where exclusively European manufacturing would double the prices. Every item goes through the same selection before joining our range: quality of materials, buyer feedback, reliability of the manufacturer. Some of our items also ship from France or Germany.

How long does delivery take?

Your order is processed within 24 to 48 hours, then delivered in 3 to 5 working days in France and Europe, or 5 to 7 working days to Canada and the United States, with a tracking number. Full details on the Delivery page.

Do you deliver outside France?

Yes. We deliver to all of Europe (European Union, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway…) for €2.90, free over €70, with the same delivery times as France. We also deliver to Canada and the United States for €9.90: processed within 48 hours, then 5 to 7 working days. Outside the European Union, any import duties and taxes are payable by the recipient. Full details on the Delivery page.

What warranty do your products have?

All our products come with the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity. On top of that, you have 30 days after delivery to change your mind, no questions asked. A defect or a missing part? Write to us with your order number.

Can I pay in instalments?

We accept cards, Apple Pay and PayPal — the simplest at checkout. Klarna (pay in instalments) is also available, subject to eligibility. All payments are secure.

How do I choose the right size?

Each product page shows the dimensions and usage tips. Not sure (bed size, harness, cushion)? Write to us before ordering: we'll point you to the right item rather than leave you to guess.

What if the product doesn't suit me?

You have 30 days after delivery to change your mind. Contact us with your order number: we'll explain what to do. See also the Returns page.

Is my order tracked?

Yes. As soon as it ships, you receive an email with your tracking number. You can also use our Order tracking page.

How can I contact you?

Our French customer service team reads every message: bonjour@ducepatte.com or via the Contact page. We reply within 24 to 48 working hours.

Question not listed here? Write to us before you buy: we'd rather point you to the right product than sell you the wrong one.
